I have lived in Uley since and am married with four children. I am experienced in inter-agency work concerning the welfare and mental health of young people. For 6 years I have worked in both primary and secondary schools as a freelance safeguarding trainer for Gloucestershire Safeguarding Children Board. I also now deliver Safeguarding Adults training for staff volunteering or working with adults who have care and support needs in the community.

I ed Uley Parish Council in I am a founding member and secretary of Uley Allotments Association. I love walking on Uley Bury with my Galgo dogs and feel very lucky to live in such a peaceful place. I have lived in Shadwell for 10 years, having moved from Chipping Sodbury. I am married to Tony, a quantity surveyor. I am married to a university senior lecturer and former governor of the Primary School, and also have an elderly relative living in the village. A retired General Practice Chartered Surveyor, I am now a trustee and treasurer for a small charity which actively supports the teaching of deaf and deafblind children in the Middle East.

Those woodlands and grasslands are now managed by a t Woodland Committee to enhance flora and fauna by means of grazing and working parties. All this time the parish council campaigned for some affordable housing for local people to rent and this was finally achieved infollowed by allotments opened in In the parish council held a public meeting which launched a steering committee to start a voluntary community shop where I enjoy working.

I enjoy working with my colleagues to help achieve these outcomes. Born and brought up locally, I have had close ties with Uley all my life. We moved to Angeston in and have spent the last twenty years conserving and renovating this rare example of Regency picturesque architecture. With a career background in overseas trade, banking and company administration, I am currently involved in agriculture, forestry and property management. I graduated from Reading University, and then worked for five years in Adelaide Australia in agricultural research.

My wife Frances and I moved to Uley three years ago to be near our grandchildren. Before that we lived in Somerset for 43 years, on the edge of Exmoor, where we were both teachers, and raised three children. I taught Science subjects at a secondary school for 31 years. I also put much energy into extra-curricular activities, which I believe strongly to be an important part of education.

I have lived in Uley, with my wife Carol, since and ed the Parish Council in I am now retired following a career of well over forty years as a chartered physicist and engineer, mostly working in the nuclear industry. I never tire of walking the wonderful paths and lanes around Uley.

I have lived in Coaley sinceafter moving from North Yorkshire with my wife and twins. Before that I spent many years in the Surrey area where I met my wife, Shona.

I am a Green Party Councillor, so in addition to supporting the needs of local residents, I also seek to encourage more sustainably living opportunities, and allow people to work locally through supporting local business opportunities and more eco-transport routes.
