Edmond R. Wolven (Riley to friends), graduated from Rockford High School in 1949. He received a BA degree from the University of Michigan in 1953 and LLB from the University of Michigan Law School in 1956.
Ed has practiced law in Kent County for 50 years. His practice has included representation of school districts and many small businesses in Western Michigan. In addition, as a general practitioner, he has often been retained for with reference to bankruptcy, wills and probate, negligence litigation, real estate, and matters of family law.
Ed has appeared, and does appear, in many of the District and Circuit Courts in Western Michigan as well as the Michigan Court of Appeals and Federal District Courts in Michigan and Wisconsin.
With his partner, Rose A. Coonen, Ed continues to provide north Kent County a local alternative to "downtown" law firms in Grand Rapids, offering legal services for most needs.
